I teach both Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga for all levels...

Vinyasa means "to place in a special way". In a Vinyasa Yoga session, each movement is a gradual progression from one to the next and the movement is linked to the breath, so you move with your inhale and exhale. This style can be slow or fast paced, helps to build strength, creates muscle tone, increases mobility and flexibility, and at the same time you get the added bonus of calorie burning… it almost sounds too good to be true!

A Yin Yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body - the hips, pelvis, inner thighs and  lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia). The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer, with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility.

New to Yoga, or would like to deepen your practice? I offer private one to one and small group based sessions that are catered to you and your needs. A private session allows you to create a strong and safe foundation from which you can confidently explore various poses, at your own pace in the comfort of your own home and allows me to provide attention to your alignment, and offer assists and adjustments to help you get all the benefits that a yoga practice can offer.
